free $20 from petsmart

So last week, I was out of town and had to buy a reptarium from petsmart in a semi-emergency. Luckily, it was on sale for $52....$57 and change after tax. 2 days later, I noticed that the corners were already starting to tear(those things are complete garbage, but that's a whole other thread), So I decide to return it. Today, I go to my local petsmart to return the reptarium, but when they rang up the return, it was 69.99 +tax ($76). I didn't notice until she was counting it out, so I stopped her and said it was too much. She looked at the old receipt, and got a very confused look on her face. She had no clue what to do. She called over the manager, and he had the same reaction, then looked at the cashier and said "just give him the full amount". SCORE!!!!

ahaha congrats. they are very lazy sometimes, so they give you the benefit and make you happy! happened to me twice

I think that can be an issue (but sometimes a good thing) with larger stores like petsmart / petco. The managers / employees dont worry to much about the money as long as it rings up on their computers like that. It's not like it makes a difference on what they make. Granted, if there's a lot of sells missing and stuff like that someone is going to get fired, but stuff like that they could generally care less.

My friend is a manager at petco and he said that any time any animal looks semi sick, they take it to the vet because the store doesn't pay the vet bills the corporate office does.
