hey guys i was wondering...i made my own misting system that has 5 mist nozzles but i dont think my fountain pump has enough power being that it is only 155gph and the water doesnt mist out it more rains out in drops. my question what size found pump would be suitable for 5 nozzles and actually make a mist instead of just rain drops.

Your thinking wrong. GPH doesnt matter, Its how many feet of head you want. A 155gph unit might be good for 3ft of head, im surprised it squirted out at all. Look for something with at least 10ft of head and you should be good to go. Flow doesnt mater since you will be doing less than 1 gallon per hour :)

If you can find one of the nicer new DC brushless versions. Again they dont put out much, but the head on them is amazing.

okay thanks guys. yeah those pumps are way expensive. i would be better off buying a mistking haha. but i ended up picking up one that is 265gph and has 7ft of head and im only going to be pushing is maybe 3ft if that. if it still just barely comes out i guess ill have to deal with it. my chams still drink and get enough water and they love to sit under the nozzles

Get a 3ft long piece of hose and hang it vert with a nozle at the bottom, now hand fill with water. Thats how much pressure 3ft of head is...
