I think gators are incredible, and I love snakes, but whenever I encounter one a moccasin I get shivers down my spine and the hair on my neck stands up.

Well, I am literally less than 5 miles away from where a lady was ripped apart by a 14 foot gator while jogging close to a canal... soo, the thought of that is always in the back of my head.

I think snakes are incredible creatures.. I'd have a few if my mom would not hate them. I had a very close call with a moccasin when I was little while fishing, so I just try to stay as far from venomous snakes as I can..unless I have a glass between us lol

Yikes!! That poor woman.

Yeah I had a couple of close calls with mocassin's too when If was younger. In one instance I was exploring the wooded area behind my house. I live on 2 acres in the woods. I got around a swampy area and grapped a hold of a branch to move it out of the way and I saw the back half of a mocassin not 6" from my hand slither off the branch.

Another one is a little bit harder to remember because it happened probably over a decade ago and it's a little blurry. Still living on the same property I was in the backyard and all I can remember about this encounter is that I was just standing up and a mocassin slithered over my feet! I had shoes on but still, it actually went over my feet.

I had a similar thing happen to me.. fishing and the snake slithered next to my feet.. I dropped the rod and ran for my life lol

i agree with every word and i am really sorry for sounding mean/rude i know that when my female lays her first clutch im gunna be freaking out and asking you guys for help so sorry
