food cup fail

I use cups for crickets like a lot of people. I've been doing it for about a year now but today I failed. I used a clear cup with out even thinking about it and my veiled male Lee was now a fan. He tried about three times to eat the bottom of the cup. He realised what was going on and is happily eating now. I do think I might be better to use the clear ones reason being I've never seen him try to eat in under a min of me being in his cage. Any thoughts?

I was think that too but seeing as he figured out what was going on I don't think that will be an issue. I guess ill have to see if he remembers tomorrow.

they dont really learn things like that.

its just safer to use a colored cup so it doesnt happen at all.

Your probably right. I'm just going to try it tomorrow and if he shoots at the cup even once I'm going to squash that idea.

I would get like a blurry sunny d bottle or a Half gallon of milk and cut it out into a feeder like I did. Works extremely well and the crickets aren't smart enough to get out of most days lol :D just look up chameleon feeder on youtube and you should find some good things that will lead you into the right direction. It is way better than a cup lol I even decorated mine to blend in wiht the cage and glued leaves and stuff on it. Hope this link helps!

These two videos are great the second one isnt really explaining that much at all but it gives you an idea of what to do.
