foggy glass

I just bought a used aquarium for cheap, still holds water, glass is foggy and has coralline build up...how do i get rid of that?

If you can be careful enough not to scratch the glass, you should be able to take off the calcium build up with a brand new razor blade. Just go slow and dont cut yourself! You could also try a little CLR with a nylon scrub pad.

Lemon juice works wonders!

A tip that another member gave me on here (can't remember who it was though) - is lemon juice! When I clean water/limescale marks off of Amy's glass, I cut a fresh lemon into quarters and rub it over the glass, leave it for a few minutes then rinse well. You will get bits of lemon flesh sticking to the glass though, but it does wash off. I found it works brilliantly and it smells nice too - with no nasty smells to harm your chameleon!

so i went and bought a gallon of vinegar, made the mistake of rubbing my face with it being like 90 outside sweating like mad and now my eyes are watering from the awful vinegar smell :(. but it's sitting for a minute and then im gonna go turn it and see how it comes out.

15 minutes on the foggy side didnt really seem to do anything lol...guess ill let it sit for 20 then ill try the lemon juice.

If the lemon doesn't work, the CLR will for sure! Just make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse.

not that i would do it, unless it's safe, but is clr safe for chams O.O?

Use common sense, of course it's not safe. However, if you use a little and rinse really well set it outside and rinse for about a week, wouldn't that be okay? Unless you plan on cleaning and putting a cham in it right away, then no don't use CLR. ;)

lol no im gonna put a pair of waxy monkey frogs in there if i can ever find a cb pair :p. just wondering(wasn't serious about clr on chams :p. unless it really was safe haha) because of my hard water and the mist king, my chams get white build up on them from sitting under it. anyone know a way of washing a cham? :p
