I always use the macro setting on my camera - the trick is to get the focus before you take the photo. Press the shutter button down half way and hold it there and you should hear some whirring and see the picture become more focussed. Mine shows a green square at the focal point when it is in focus and a red square when it isn't. It also makes different sounds to indicate if it's in focus or not. That is the best explanation I can manage, lol! I am not very technical minded and probably don't know half of what my camera can do!
yea, try holding your shutter button halfway before hitting it the whole way, many cameras will autofocus this way. also, you dont have to be soo close, you could be just far away for your camera to focus, then just crop and enlarge on the compy, or use your zoom with your camera..best way to find out how to work it is to just play with it
As said, holding down the shutter button halfway should activate autofocus. Although it looks as if you have exceeded the minimum distance of the camera's focusing capability
It should say in the user manual, how close you can get before the focus cannot work.
i have a kodak easy share and get killa macro shots in the flower mode my has 2 different flower modes one you can actually turn the camera to and then a flower button that you can activate in any picture mode and like mentioned above try to focus better it wirks bettter if you get the camera closer and dont zoom
