Flash's "New Pad"

Well.........our little Flash has moved into his new pad this afternoon. I had a ton of help decorating his new enclosure with two of my Grandchildren offering their bit of decorating expertise. Here is the result......this picture was taken right before lights out and he is comfortably nestled in his own little cozy "new branch to sleep on".

If you look right at the right-hand lip on the black pot on the right, you can see his white lips and the red on part of his face.

I don't know why he chose that place.......perhaps to feel "secure" on his first night in his new pad.

By golly............you didn't miss the cost by much.

I took my Grandaughter with me to the local pet shop today because all I had was the plastic plants with green leaves on them. She told me that we needed some "color" in the cage with him, so he could "hide" better. She picked out the one with the leaves that have the pink on them. I got the two vines and weaved them back and forth through the horizontal limbs.

He was REALLY interested in what I was doing to "the place next door" to his smaller cage today when I was putting everything in place. He sat and watched me put everything in and then he tried to crawl through the side of his cage to get to it.

I think he will be happy in his larger "pad".......when he gets used to the layout. It's easy to tell when they are "comfortable" in their enclosure because when you disturb them in any way, they get pissy. I had him in and out with my wife holding him while I "sturdied" things up and he didn't mind me going in the "new cage" and getting him. Now in his old cage, he would have put on quite a show. It is all bluff.........but he just felt comfortable there.
