I have a shade for my heat lamp, but I wondered which is better between the lamp shade (specifically for a heat lamp of course) or a cage that goes around the light ? Thoughts ? The phot below is currently what I am Using, already have a fixture for my uv lamp, just wondering about the heatlamp

Any clamp light will work. As long as it's rated for bulb.
