Fixing dehydration in the shower??

lots of people have been saying that they put their chams in the shower to rehydrate them. don't you have to put dechlorination stuff in the water before you water them? so how does that work? is it ok for them to have normal water? also, do you just put a plant a stick in the shower and turn on the water to a warm temp or...?

thanks:)

I don't shower my chameleons, I have found that silkies and horn worms are the best for rehydration. But if you were to shower, the chlorinated water is fine, just have the main pressure hitting the side wall and the mist or indirect water hitting their cage. But I strongly advise you to look into silk worms or horn worms...or even supers for rehydration. I work with WC chameleons quite often and worms are the way to go to get hydrated and put some meat on their bones.

I have never showered a chameleon (and I don't plan to)
I also like silkworms!
All water misted or dripped here comes straight from the tap!
