Afternoon all,
I have been a member here for a while but not really posted. I kept Chameleons years ago and have recently decided to jump back in as my son is now old enough (10) to be involved and enjoy the process.
I have a 3 month old Male Panther coming this next week from a vendor here on the site and thought I would share my initial set up and say Hi!!
My goal right now is to keep him in the tub enclosure for 30 days to ensure he is eating properly and there are no other concerns. There is a screened lid.
UVB bulb and plant bulb are in the hanging fixture.
Temp range in the tub is 74-82 degrees throughout the day (in fact, this is the room temp). I have a basking bulb and fixture available if/when needed.
THe screen cages are waiting and he will first go into a 30" high and then into the 48" high as he gets larger.
Knowing that these critters are addictive, I have built a rack of sorts that is out in my fish room (I am also a reef tank addict). As you can see below, there is room for the tubs on the bottom as well as multiple screen cages up top. The misting system is in place and ready to plug into any new enclosures.
Cricket colony is here along with some Dubias on the way as well as silkworm eggs.
Again, this is all in preparation of the need to buy a few more Chams along the way.
Anyhow, here is the pic of the tub enclosure and the rack.
THanks for listening and looking
