Fig Tree?

Well Its time I have to start a new enclosure again, so I stopped by Lowes the other day to get an Idea of what I have to work with, as far as foliage goes, and I saw they had some fig trees, they looks really cool and would provide alot of shade and climbing spots, does anyone know about these, are they safe? I know the fruits are but have no clue on the trees, this is for an Oustalets by the way, so not typically a leaf eater.

Oscar eats dried Fig/Ficus leaves all of the time. Even when he was little.

huh, thats good to know, Titan has never eaten leaves, when you say fig do you mean the fruit or the leaves.

I was looking at the Fig trees the other day when I bought Tommy a new schefflera. I thought they looked really nice too - I may go and get one now I know they are safe! I take it that they are also safe for veileds? I haven't seen Tommy eat anything other than livefood so far, but the ficus that he had at his old home had no leaves left on it anyway, poor l'il guy!

I did a search on google and it says they are toxic, I think there a way too many figs and trees that are called something with the word fig in it lol.

confusing! but from what I read the fig I want is OK.

incase there is confusion its this type of fig, I know ficus is called fig sometimes.
