Ficus tree

I saw this Ficus tree for $35. It seems to be about 4 ft long without the pot. Do you guys think this is a good deal? I've never bought a ficus so I'm not sure haha. Also, do you have any experience on growing it out? I would like to have more leaves to provide more coverage. I'm just debating whether I should buy it or not.
Thanks

It's actually $50 regular price, but they're having a 30% off sale right now so it comes to $35. I guess since it's from a nursery you would expect the price to be higher than Home Depot or Lowes. I actually haven't seen Ficus in either of those two big stores and I've been checking all summer long.
My one concern is that the branches seem to be very thin, not sure it can support a chameleon's weight? Maybe I'm underestimating the strength of the tree

Well tbh, most chams don't walk on the plants themselves, they usually stick to the branches. Plants are more for cover, humidity, and water droplets.

My home depot and Lowe's usually have tons of ficus, the only worry with ficus is the sap is irritating if a branch breaks.

That makes sense. But I do wish that tree had more leaves haha.

Right now my home depot has no plants. They get all their plants from Florida and because of the hurricane they haven't gotten new ones. It's been like that for 2 weeks and might be like that for another 2 or 3.
I've read about the sap and that's another concern with the branches being so thin, they could easily break

If you go onto etsy. There is a guy that sells plants. Hirta garden. I got a wandering Jew and red prayer plant for 17$ shipped. Both are doing awesome btw. They are more of a vine type plant but grow extremely fast. Both very very pretty too and do very well in high humidity.

That ficus will grow like crazy if you get it, so don't worry about that at all. I have about a 6' one on my lanai that I freerange my veiled on. He has no problem with most of the branches, and I have to trim it about every 6 months or so which actually helps it become bushier. Good luck!
