I see no reason not to give females as much space as males. They are just as active (often more active), and really not that much smaller in size. My females (and males) have cages that are 2 foot wide, 2 foot deep, 4 feet high. This is the minimum size I would recommend for any adult panther. Further, a larger cage also allows for a laying bin to bin within the normal cage, removing the necessity for a separate laying enclosure, and the stress of moving her to it.
