female veiled sick and tired of me

Ive had my female veiled a little over 11 weeks. She always seems to be in her fired up colors and is almost 6 months now. I keep her temps about 80 83 for basking and everytime I get her out to clean it just seems really stressful for her. When I'm bringing her in or outside she always is on her back feet trying to grab whatever. They say they'll calm down once you get them out. This is certainly not the case. I keep everything in her cage the same after cleaning and I provide her plenty of nutrious feeders and mist her 2-3 times a day for about 5 mins. Everytime we get back inside(right now) she just wants out of her cage. Not scratching at the bottom like she is egg bound but just plain wants out and away from from me like climbing up and trying to get on the cage ceiling. Her cage is 16x30x16 2 pothos plenty of foliage and branches.. just wants out. I honestly feel like a little boy that caught a lizard and I feel as if I'm just torturing her. This is my first reptile. I did my research and know they're not hands on pets but she just plain hates me and I love her to death :/ I am just trying to give her the best life in captivity that I can and I'm pretty sure there is nothing much better that I could give her. I don't know what to do I'm afraid that just because I have to get her out to clean that I will stress her to death and she certainly doesn't seem happy everytime she goes back in her cage as she is still pacing around fired up after typing all this up.

Here is a picture of her setup. Is there anything wrong? She typically does seem pretty happy on days she doesn't have to come out and I usually do a deep clean once a month. This month I did 2 cleans because she had a pretty nasty shed a couple days ago.

No blue colors and I don't have a very big free range for her just a hibiscus and schefflera I take her outside on while I do a clean. I've read your blog countless times and it is ready ready for her. I probably do need to get a bin inside her cage but I would have to change some things and I'm sure she would definitely be stressed out about that.

If you can't free range her you might want to invest in a very large cage for her. IMO the girls make better use of the space than the boys. :)

Okay jann thanks for the advice. I was planning on building one in the near future but I will start looking into buying a big one for her. I'm just worried about the stress of a "move" but I want the best for her and I'm sure shell need it soon with the bin inside of it;) I really would love to free range her if I had the room and it just seems to me like a perfect time for her to get away. I understand she knows I could be a threat but the way she acts you would think I abuse her or try and scoop her up everyday. Thanks again Jan.

I don't see any foliage up where the lights are. Veileds like to bask about 10" away from their bulbs (light bulbs and UV's and having a vine, stick or a big plant up near the top is perfect for that. What I can see is it's pretty empty up there. Also, 83 is kind of cool for basking for an adult veiled. I would kick up the temps by 5 degrees and make sure your UV is at least in the 40 range. You could easily push everything over to one side and put a laying bin on the door side until you get a larger cage set up, but I would make the above changes to your current cage and she might be happier.

Yes it is a little empty I'm about to order her a new cage though. She has a uvb over there on the right were she chills a lot at the highest point about 3-4 inches from her keeping the same temps. I keep these temp to slow her egg production going by Jan's blog I've read. I'm afraid to make any changes now because ill be putting her.into a bigger cage soon. She seems to have calmed down I think she was just checking to make sure I haven't changed anything. Do you think she would be pretty stressed if I changed it up twice within a week and id have to get her out again:/ thank you for the suggestions. Would her being that close to the uvb be harmful? I have 2 18 inch 5.0.
