Female Veiled Receptive?

Hi everyone

I first want to say how much I enjoy this site and how much it truly helps us with all of our chameleons..... so thank you - sorry I'm not on much - just a busy life

We have a female Veiled and male veiled that are about a year old - we put the female in the males cage and he was quite receptive - Cami (girl) however, was so it seems not - he started to "mount" her and she started hissing..... this is the first time we have put them together - and her first time mating - so we're unsure as to what she is doing... any ideas?

We do have 2 jackson's - 2 Pgmy Leaf's, 2 Gracefuls and 2 Veileds... along with two bearded dragons... We love all of them

Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions you may have...

She could just not be ready.... I would just take her out and try again later once shes calmed down. It may take several attempts

If the female is hissing and her background color is darkened, she is not receptive and the two will likely fight. As was suggested, take her out and try again in a few days/weeks.
