Female veiled ready to lay........I think....

I have a female that has laid 2 clutches for me and all went well!!!! Well, she is gravid again and is walking the bottom of her cage a lot....so I put her in the egg laying chamber( big rubbermaid container with moist peat moss) that she laid her other 2 clutches in. This time she doesnt want anything to do with it! She just looks for a way to get out, but the other times she started digging within 10 minutes! If I calculated right, she is about 20 days along....

Any thoughts??????

Sounds like she isn't ready yet. My 2 laid on the 32nd day. I think about 30 is normal and 20 is a bit early, although I know it happens.

Thanks for the quick reply! That helps a lot. I just saw her at the bottom looking around and I around and I automatically assumed that she was ready.

If you put a container in her cage for her to start to dig in you wouldn't have to guess at when she was really ready.
