So I recently grabbed a female veiled and a male that were caged at a shop together. Not my typical thing to buy from a store but I had room and they looked decent enough so I saved em haha. My worries are that I think this LITTLE female could have weny gravid. While sleeping in their respective SEPERATE cages I noticed she had tiny spots showing all over whith some stripes and such. I mean is that possible!? She is TINY like 2 inches tops. She was too young to sell but we know how that goes with stores. Ive never owned female veileds so idk if this is typical patterns or if perhaps they being caged together at the store lead to some love makin aha :/ because if thats the case how in the HECK can she possibly produce eggs. They are as big as her little head. Tell me i have noyhing to worry about PALEASE! thanks all!

Zack :)

I am not sure if a female that young can produce eggs.

She may just be ill or stressed, but I would prepare a laying bin anyways.

Males can be sexually mature pretty young, but I doubt it.

I would just wait until someone more experienced comes along, but that's my guess. I have no clue about females really.

My worry is that if she is I HIGHLY doubt she could pass eggs through her tiny little body. Im pretty sure it would wipe her out :/

If you are really not sure.. Take her to the vet if you see swelling around her vent/stomach area.

If she is that young and is gravid then I think her body would just make the eggs smaller anyway.

Post a picture of her?

Oh okay, well when you get wifi please show us your chameleon.

If she is gravid, she will be displaying certain colors. Some chams show their grump colors, others show dramatic black with blue spots and stuff..

If she has bulges near her tummy, she's got eggs.

AGAIN I highly doubt a chameleon of that age is even capable of producing eggs, so maybe it might be a blockage/swelling in the intestines if you see that.

If you could get a picture of her "gravid colors" that would be great. :)

If she's under 5 months old it's highly doubtful that she can produce eggs. And at 2 inches she's definitely not mature yet.
