Female veilded question!

My female has been in her "receptive colors" and yesterday she decided to climb into the other cage of the 2 chams I have been watching (a male of course) and before I knew it the male was on top of her. I left it happen because I didn't really know what else to do. After I took her out and notcied bruises on her side which I fiigured were normal from him gribbing onto her. But today she won't eat! Which is extermely rare for her, I never seen her turn down any food before. Is this normal? Also what are things I need to be looking for with her & lay eggs?

can she still see the male? after my female bred she wasn't to happy about seeing the male and would just try to hide. so i moved her cage and her food cup so that she could get to it and still be hidden. good luck

She shouldn't stop eating just because she mated. They normally lay eggs about 30 days after mating. You should find my laying bin/egg laying blog helpful.
