Female Chameleon in labour! help!

a few of the eggs now look like they have mould on them...that white spider web looking stuff. BUT...what does it mean when there are little yellow spots on the eggs?
I have them in a hovabator. they are at about 75 all day w/ pretty high humidity and they are in containers with damp vermiculite, all about 1" apart.
Any suggestions on if they're good at all?

Was she mated? Temps should be a little lower, but if they are yellow and fuzzy it sounds like they are not fertile and are just moulding.

yes, she did mate. they are not all fuzzy. it just seems like yellow spots are developing. i will post a pic. as soon as possible.

Hi Harley,

Congrats on the eggs! I would suggest you leave all the eggs now on the incubator, the ones that are not good, you'll be able to tell right away, its obvoius when they have became "rotten" if you have any doubts about one egg in particular, leave it, just space the eggs so they dont touch each other, just in case, once you see obvious signs of molding, discard it.

clutches?

well...it turns out the eggs from my above discussion in the end of September were not fertile. i did not mate her again; however, she laid another clutch of 25 eggs on Dec. 25th. So...does that mean i should expect another clutch soon? is it normal for a female panther to lay clutches in certain month intervals?
if so, when can i actually mate her, since she has never laid fertile eggs yet?

thanks for the help.

oh and one other thing...is there any possibility the eggs molded due to anything i did? or is it just that they were infertile? i just want to be sure i am incubating the eggs properly...i have a typical incubator (i think it's a hovabator...those styrofoam ones). i keep the windows on it covered so that no light gets in. it's not in a closet just in a warm room. the temp is usually around the 75 mark and i try to keep the humidity in the 70 or 80 area as i read to do so. i usually keep a glass or 2 of warm water in there so that the humidity is up. i place the eggs in tuperware containers with the eggs about an inch or so apart. it's filled with damp vermiculite and i poke a few holes on the upper sides of the container and keep the lid on. i think that's everthing...so if i am doing anyhting wrong let me know.

before she laid her Sept. clutch she had mated once like a few months before that. then when i saw she laid a clutch in Sept. i haven't put her with the male again because i know she needed to get her strength back.

yes they did. thanks for the reply. one at a time i kept getting rid of the moldy ones until none were left...better luck next time:(

They will all get fuzzy with mold if they are all infertile.

so do you think she may still lay another infertile clutch? what are common characteristics of a female panther's gravid cycle? is it common to lay two clutches so close together (September and then again Dec.)? and when is it safe to mate her?
