Feet - Fascinating!!

I took this photo of Lily's foot when she was basking and noticed that the scales on the soles of her feet look like tiny jigsaw puzzle pieces! I'd never noticed this before I took the photograph - you don't usually see the soles of their feet!

I found this fascinating and just wanted to share!

Neat! I hadn't noticed the pattern of the scales before, but have noticed, when Thaxter sheds, that the soles-of-the-feet seen to be much tougher, thicker skin than the rest - like he's calloused.

I kept one of Lily's shed 'feet' its even got holes where the nails were! She shed it all in one piece and it looks just like a dirty sock!!

It's only fun until somebody gets pinched
