Haven't been on here for a while but I'm happy to say that following everything I've read on here has so far kept me with a happy healthy juvenile veiled chameleon. Moe has been through at least three, maybe four sheds so far and each one reveals even sharper coloring. He's going to be a looker (in my opinion) when he reaches maturity. I do have one question though.
How many medium/large crickets should he be eating a day? He is approximately 7 inches right now minus the tail. As of now he get's 8 to 10 crickets but he gobbles them up in no time at all and wonders the cage searching for more. It has gotten to the point now that he will run up to me when I have the crickets still in thier shipping box and will eat them right out of the plastic container while I'm holding it. He will eat all eight within a matter of a minute or two if I allow him to. The thing is that he acts like I'm starving him yet I thought that number of crickets for his size are more than enough and to me, his belly shows that. Should he be getting more? Thanks.
