Feeding question

When I feed my Ambilobe I always put the feeders in a plastic bowl and mount it near the top where he hangs out, but I've noticed he doesn't really eat them. Now, when I let the feeders roam the enclosure he hunts them down. Is this normal behavior? I like putting the feeders in the bowl due to misting because I don't want supplements washing off of them.

Chameleons generally like to hunt, but it's personal preference. I just put enough crickets in that I know my guy will eat. He does all the hunting so I don't worry about them sticking around to the next mist cycle. I hand feed worms however.

That is normal behavior. Most of my panthers do not like to eat from a cup. They will, but they prefer to hunt.
