Well, first off most chameleons only eat live food. Yours may have been hand fed enough to be trained or tricked otherwise.

I dont think its entirely natural; there are no cubed chickens running around in the wild - though some larger chameleons have been known to eat small birds on rare occassion.

Is this cooked chicken (there is considerable risk associated with raw chicken)?

Is this something you plan to do once or on a regular basis? I'd have to ask WHY on both counts. Insects are more nutritious per-pound and per-dollar.

But the main concern for me would be with regular use. Too much animal source fat could lead to problems. most store-bought Chicken is full of nasty hormones and anitbiotics that you may be okay eating yourself, but which may not be ideal for your chameleon.

No don't worry I'm not going to feed my cham chicken...it was just a question...I was just wondering...and I don't plan on feeding him any...

No. Animal protein is bad for them.

Insects, arachnids, and other arthropods which form the majority of the diet for most species are animals. A number of species are known to take land snails in the diet as well (Jackson's here dine on smaller land snails with some regularity and on occasion take some high endangered, endemic land snails). Many medium sized and larger species can, will, and do include small lizards in their diet, and very large species may take small birds or mammals on rare occasions. Except for the few species that sometimes take plant material in their diets, the entirety of the diet is made of animals, and hence high in animal protein.

Sometimes people will give them a pinky mouse for some fat and additional protein, but it's only recommended once a year if at all. My panther won't eat em, but Leopold always got his yearly mousy treat

Why? Chicken is less fatty than pinkies.
(not advocating one or the other - just curious about your decision)

Personally if I HAD to chose one or the other pinkies don't have the growth hormones and antibiotics chicken does and when chicken is cooked it loses nutrition, pinkies don't need to be cooked. Those are just my thoughts, personally your chameleon really doesn't need it, it is just a yearly treat. If you want to hand feed him something feed him veggies or fruits that are safe for him.
