Hi guys,

I working on getting everything ready before my first baby nosy be panther arrive in September. I am wondering how do you guys feed your chameleon? I understand most would feed 8-12 crickets for the baby a day. But do you guys spread out the feeding in several intervals per day or feed him only one time per day? I am under the impressiion that I would just dust the crickets and let all 12 crickets loose in the small screen enclosure in the morning and when he hungry he would just go to the bottom to feed.

Also is there a chart somewhere that would do something like 2 crickets = 1 meal worm that would allow me to easily add varieties of feed type without accidentally overfeeding? Thanks

The crickets will climb to the top of the screen, usually where the basking light is. I work full time so mine get fed first thing in the morning. However on sundays and saturday when i feed more supers and other things, i feed around 9ish and then a few more around 11 or 12. Seems like he will eat more that way.

Our 4 month old ambilobe male eats all day, no matter what time. If there is food in his cage, he will eat it. :)

We typically hand feed him 3 times a day, morning afternoon and night.
