Eye swelling while I mist

My chameleon's left eye swells up a lot when I mist, his other eye just does the cleaning thing but the left swells for a good minute or two then it goes back down to regular size. Is this normal? should I take her to the vet

That's how they clean their eyes, it's perfectly normal.

I've had my hand go to sleep sometimes when I'm misting - I'm so klutzy that I try to miss hitting their eyes...but it happens. They eventually learn to position their body so they are most comfortable with the direction of the water - once mine realized "this woman with the firehose just isn't gonna stop," she started some cool body language to let me know she was thirsty or she was full.
