Eye swelled up

I was watching my chameleon and he seemed to slip on some loose bark on a vine I went out of my room for a minute and when I came back his eye looked swollen. Did he poke it or some and what should I do?

he could have a piece lodged inside...is he able to open it...you can try some gentle flushing on the eye by misting it.

He seems to be ok now I just walked in on him and the swelling is gone but he seems to be very grouchy right now.

just in case u might want to mist the cage a little more than ussual just in case he still myte have a little something caught in his eye

They need a lot of misting to keep their eyes clean. You will notice while they are being misted that they clean their eyes. While they are doing this their eye can look extremely swollen but they are really just cleaning their eyeball from the inside. It normally goes back to the regular size shortly after.

try to clear his eyes, if this doesn't work than take him/her to a vet
