Eye rubbing in Veiled

Hi all,
I acquired a four month old Veiled Chameleon a few days ago. I have taken her outside a couple of times for some natural sunlight (per vet's instructions) and have noticed that she will tilt her head to the side and rub the side of her head/eye on things such as my hand or the branch she is climbing on. She mostly does it with her left side, but I did see her do it with the right side as well. I'm not sure if she also does this inside. Is this normal? If you need any other information, please feel free to ask. Thank you in advance!

Her left eye is closed most of the time and has been for alittle over a week (before I got her). As soon as I got her, I took her to the vet. The vet said she is probably dehydrated and flushed out the left eye and gave her subcutaneous fluids. I have been feeding her by hand and have been watering the mix down alittle so I know she is getting water along with spraying her home and using the ice cube drip method. Over the last two days she has been opening both eyes and looking around a fair amount, but she does still favor her right eye. It doesn't look swollen or puffy to me, but I've only had her for three days, so I am not sure. It is definitely not oozing though.

sounds like an eye infeciton- and chams dont shut their eyes when they are dehydrated.. the eye turrets sink in, but they dont shut.. unless the cham is super super dehydrated..

I would find another vet.

try some saline solution. just get plain saline, nothing else added. and put a drop in teh eye 2-3 times a day.
