For the record...the eye issues were caused by low wavelength UVB created by using a different phosphor...

Thanks for the help guys. To all who have been asking the UV is the ling tube, not coil, and it is 3 months old.
The basking bulb is being replaced soon, it is only low because winter is coming in and I haven't put a higher one in.

About the shower treatment: how long should I keep him, how many times a day?

about 15 to 30 min. one time a day he wont like it at first but he will get use to it I point the shower head at the wall and just let the room temp water bounce back on to them.
