Eye Problem?

Hi I am a new Chaneleon owner. I have had my veiled Chameleon for a little over a week now and recently I noticed a red and sunken eye on my Cham. I had him in a glass cage originally and had to spray it 4-5 times a day to keep the humidity up for about a week until my screen enclosure and mister came. He hasn't eaten anything in the past 3 days and I'm wondering if I should go to the vet or try to help him myself.

I would definitely take him to the vet, the sooner the better. Make sure the vet has previous experience with chameleons. Poor guy, that eye looks sore.

I agree with MelissaB, take him to a vet. It looks like he may have poked his eye on something.

If you click on the photo, it will make the picture bigger. You'll be able to see the poor guy has something going on. Maybe an injury or infection or both.

I have seen him rubbing his eye before on a branch so maybe he hurt it. Thanks for the help and I'll defiantly see a vet asap!

Went to the vet today and it turns out he cut he eyelid on something, also the red was just a protective lens.
