Exploding Egg!

I opened my egg box today to find that one egg had ruptured. The shell was on one side of the box, the yolk was sitting where the egg originally was, and an embryo was against the opposite wall. Lot of pressure vented there. I can't recall ever seeing that before.

I have heard of eggs rupturing many times from having to much moisture in the incubating medium? I have never had it happen to me though.

I have had this happen once, too much moisture. I added a little dry vermiculite to even it out.

I use 2" of perlite with about 1/4" of standing water at the bottom. Never had that happen before. There is no condensation on the inside either. Maybe I'll crack the lid a hair.
