hi another topic for you lol i have just been reading a few articles etc and have realised that mesh flexariums arn't all that great or atleast thats wha the reports are saying:
http://www.martinsreptiles.co.uk/ukchams/captivecare.htm
have a look at that link for examples. so basicaly what im asking is what other enclosures are out there and are suitable because im getting close to the stages of when i want to purchase my cham but i dont want to do it if im going to regret the enclosure i purchase aswel etc.

i have 2 flexariums. originally i thought they were great - easy to assemble, not too expensive and so light weight. however, i no longer like them. the zippers are not smooth - leading to shaking the entire thing every time i open/close it - upsetting my chams. also, b/c it is so flimsy i don't rest the lights/dripper system on the top - requiring so much hanging from the ceiling - a pain in the neck.

i have 2 alum frame/mesh cages and recently bought 4 more - i like these very much - but they are more expensive although not by much. :)

got mine from lllreptile

There is no perfect cage system as of yet.
What I believe there there is that works be the best for most domestic situations
is the standard screen cage.

I've kept my young animals in everything from 5 gallon buckets or storage tubs
(yes I know what some will say.. but it's actually a fair solution for very young animals)
on up to oversized screen cages.

The best answer is "it depends" on what the rest of your local environment is
and the age/type of animal you have.
generally speaking, you want to have something that is "flexible"
in so that it can provide several types of micro environments
for your animal so that it can fine what it like most.

young animals will want a more humid and lush understory mixup
with older animals gradually working their way up the plant strata
to different environments with larger bugs to feed upon (including light options)
just get to know the animals and pay attention to their subtile hints and you'll be OK.
