how long is"been awhile" how long have they been cookin? it takes patience i see to many people new to breeding candlein eggs addin water an gettin it on eggs.. there is a reason for the sayen dont count your eggs before they hatch.. while i know how hard it is to haveta wait for them to emerge it really is the best thing to leave em be an let em cook without messin with em..
Are they over 6 months cookin? i have some that been cookin for lil over 7 months now an are due anytime.. these eggs havent been messed with or candled.

Even if they all hatched out this weekend you have a few days before they start eating. You have time to place an order for fruit flies once you see the first one sweating. Just make sure you buy producing cultures if you get hydies. You could be waiting more than a week if you get a fresh culture. Good luck!

Hi,
You are doing great thinking ahead and getting ready. I would go ahead and order a few producing cultures along with supplies to start new cultures. Even if they dont hatch out for a little while you could get your process down on how to keep a steady supply of FF available for the babies. I have a clutch from 8/16 that look about ready and i got a few cultures a few weeks back and have started new ones from those. I like to be prepared. Just a heads up, I ordered all "producing" cultures and it was a good week before I had flies ready to feed off. Granted that is much sooner than a fresh started culture but I have heard some people expecting a cup with hundreds of flies to arrive in a producing culture and that not usually the case. Good luck with the eggs!:D
