hey so ive bred my male and female veiled chams its my first time breeding chams so id appreciate no negative comments saying you shouldnt of bred them if you werent sure blah blah blah we all started somewhere anyway onto the point ive read tons of the threads here on breeding laying incubating etc but id like to have as much information in one spot that i can favorite on my computer and use as a manual i bred my chams september 17th so its about day 23 or 24 ive placed a 5gal aquarium in the bottom of my females cage its about 9" deep is this to shallow ive also picked up an incubator what temperature and humidity is best ive read tons of different answers so if you could explain reasoning etc behind this im also in the market for vermiculite i live in toronto canada and am having a hard time finding it i notice alot of peoples vermiculite is white pebble looking things all i can find is brown S shaped small plant vermiculite is this safe could it have chemicals etc to promote plant growth that could hurt my eggs in anyway please let me know give me any tips you have even if its off topic from my questions thanks!

the white pebble stuff is perlite and it is just as good as the vermiculite i have had good success with my veileds incubating at 75 degrees and a humidity percentage of about 70% as far as a laing bin i use a five gallon bucket in my females cage

I have been keeping/breeding/raising chameleons for many years and have incubated the veiled eggs between 72 and 74F in shebox sized tupperware type containers filled about half full of barely moist coarse grained vermiculite. I have had close to 100% hatch rate of fertile eggs. My incubator is homemade and open to the air so the temperature fluctuates slightly with the room temperature.
