Egg Laying Problems..

My Female Chameleon still has not layed her eggs..she's about 8 days over due, I've put here in a 5 Gallon Bucket, with a light for hours at a time, and she just sits there, no digging what so ever. I put her back in her cage before I go to bed & have repeated this process for the past few days. Should I leave her in there though the night untill she lays her eggs? Or is what i'm doing the correct thing to do?! Please let me know!

IMHO its not a good idea to keep moving them in and out of the container. Have they done any digging at all??

She's not digging at al, she's just sitting in the bucket..Insemination was on 12-14..

I have heard the longest as being 42 days. Put a little container of your laying medium in her cage and wait until she starts to dig in it, then put her in the big laying bin. Don't stress her by the back and forth every day of moving her.How much has she gained since mating her?

I thought you put laying bins in the enclosures.
Why are you moving one of them around??? you need to leave her alone, you are creating a problem,
what is happening with the other one?
Stop moving and bothering her. Give her a place to lay and total privacy.
She knows what to do, if you will give her a chance to do it.

We still have the egg laying containers in the cages, but we were putting them in the egg laying bin at night for a coule hours sinc it's bigger. They havent started digging yet but do occasionally go to the bottom of the cage, I'll just have to wait and watch them closely. There both getting pretty big so the time will be soon for them to lay their eggs..

I recommend leaving her in the cage as well with the bin. Maybe do a bin that is big enough for her to lay in. Chameleons have been known to lay at night. During the day cover her cage on the sides for total privacy. I had a female that refused to lay until I put a towel on the front of the cages so she couldn't see me when I was in the "cham room" as I call it, working on other chores. The more moving, as everyone said, the more stress.

Yeah I put towels around their cages, the egg laying bins in the cages are about a foot deep and a foot long? I think there to small, I'll need to see if I can find something a little bit bigger.

Size sounds fine, are they round?
You just need to relax and let them be.
You will delay the process further every time you disturb them.

One of them is round, the other is rectangle. We havent done anything with them, the cages are covered to allow as much pivacy as possible! Thanks for your help!
