The same result was observed in another study in a group of veiled chameleons (Kummrow 2009) where intracoelomic tamoxifen implants were encapsulated by granu- lation tissue. Even in this case, the implants had no significant effect on the regulation of the repro- ductive cycle of female veiled chameleons.
In conclusion, it could be stated that results of our study suggest that GnRH implants did not prevent spontaneous reproductive activity in captive female veiled chameleons.”
