My local pet shop sells earthworms as feeders too, but the types of animals they are intended for are not chameleons, nor are the worms kept in a sterile manner.
Nevertheless, if you want to buy one and try it, that's your perogative.
I doubt your chameleon will like it.

I bought some from a pet shop once, my panther was afraid of it (and he's not afraid of much) I think he thought it was a snake. My jacksons just ignored it.
