OldChamKeeper
Chameleon Enthusiast

It's been about 2 months since I obtained the pair, figured I'd post an update.
The pictures say quite a bit.
The size of their actual usable space is 36"x30"x15" while the cage itself is larger.
On top I am running a reptisun 5.0, seemed a little dim with the heavy cat resistant screen so I placed a spare light from my salt water tank on it. I do forget what it was called but it was usable for corals and has a decent UV output. The plats seem to thrive with it and the chams didn't have any issues.
They have a 75wt bulb that comes on for two hours in the morning for basking.
Rest of the day their temps are btw 76F-80F in the living room.
Night temps drop to about 70F
IN the habitat is a small fountain I picked up for a few bucks. It is dismantled once a week and cleaned. The chams do use it but I am using a small drip system every other day they like. Also I am using an Exo-terra mister. It goes off about every 3 hrs for 20 secs. Between all this I've seen them take in enough water.
Feeding is daily. I don't often leave food in their cage since it will simply disappear.
I have to date offered small superworms, crickets, flies, hornworms, butterworms, phoenix worms & dubia roaches.
Results:
Hornworms - couldn't get enough of them
Crickets - meh, only when I offer it first and they don't have a choice. So they get a gut loaded cricket every other day.
Superworms- pass up all other foods for these.
Dubia roaches - oddly they only seem to want one or two a week despite daily offerings.
Flies- if I can catch a few they'll eat a few.
Phoenix worms - won't touch them-ever
Butterworms - sometimes a few other times they turn up their nose.
I am using Repashy MeD for a calcium supplement with a medium amount of D3. I also use Herptivite.
I am giving them one food item dusted every Tues/Fri The female a little more as I see she arrived Gravid.
The animals are given some sunlight once a week for a few hours if the outside temps are cool enough.
Overall they are doing well. I'm a little concerned since the female arrived gravid, even the best keepers lose a gravid female if she arrives as such. I've managed to save quite a few over the years so I'll just have to see how this turns out.
