Dubia tail

I noticed this over aged Dubia emerge (must've escaped feeder) and noticed the odd appendage. As it moved, it was clearly attached. I swiped it with a paper towel and flushed immediately! Looks like what a baby hornworm molt but not sure why it was at the roach's opposite end?

You’re incorrect, it is growing a tail and going through accelerated evolution. Soon it shall be a monkey and by next week it will be a leader of a country somewhere.
