Dubia Roaches

I'm thinking about buying a few Dubia roaches for my 4 month old veiled and i was wondering how hard they would be to keep and care for. I'm not looking to buy a bunch of them to breed but it says i need to get a 40 qt tub and egg crates and make sure the humidity is good, is that just if you're buying them in large numbers? Any help would be great, thanks.

Yeah that's over kill if your just feeding them out. Depending on how many your getting you can probably just keep them in a larger critter keeper with some egg crates... they are simple to care for give them food and they live lol...they don't die off easy like crickets.. I give my colony a quartered orange every other day and whatever old dry cereal I have around the house smashed up... they live like 1-2 years lol

Okay thanks. I'm only planning on getting 25 of them, I don't even know if my cham likes them just trying to find some more variety for him hah.

Dubias are great feeders, and not hard to keep. Even if you only have the one Cham(for now lol) I would consider at least a small colony. Get some good chow for them to keep them healthy and I also offer a dish with fruits and veggies. Keep a heat tape under a part of the container, and they'll do the rest.
