I am getting a panther or veiled chameleon soon and don't know whether to use crickets or Dubia Roaches What are the pros and cons of each. Thanks in advance for any reply.

Crickets are often easier and less expensive to get initially, but the roaches are more nutritious and get much larger. They'll also breed easily for you, so once you have a colony going you'll end up with a pretty much endless supply of roaches to use as feeders!

Dubia Pros... Low maintenance, no smell, long life span...Cons... Don't move very much ( your little one might not be interested )

Crickets... Pro...lots of movement. Con... Stinky, higher die off rate.

This is my super fast breakdown ; )

a varied diet is important!
use both if your cham likes dubia... mine does not find them appealing, i think because they don't move as much. mine eats maybe 2-3 dubia a week.
but i feed crix, dubia, phoenix worms, mealworms, butter worms and as a treat wax worms.

if you do a web search for nutrition you will find many.

If you had to use just one I would do dubias, they are worth more nutritionally, have a higher meat to shell ratio, and are much easier to keep and breed. But variety is important.

I will say that I have several species of crickets and I am trying to wean crickets out of the equation almost completely. I may get some now and then for variey but I give up buying them in bulk so they die, stink, and make noise for weeks.
