I'm asking for a friend, their 7 month old male Veiled cham's skin next to backbone is really dry cracked like chap lips, is this alright/normal? Or could it mean something?

Sounds like the start of a normal shed to me.

Increased mistings help then shed a little easier.

i was thinking... how can a chameleon have dry skin if u mist them (as much as ur supposed to).. wouldnt make sense

I was thinking it may be a burn as well. At seven months I'm sure this person would have seen several normal sheds (unless they just got the chameleon). Please post a photo so we can help you more.
