Hello,
We are working on building a new cage for our cham (a male ambilobe). He has a really nice large one that has worked out great for about a year, but he has fallen a couple of times
due to the screen being to small for him to grasp and we have decided a new cage would be best. Our new cage goals are to have it be made of PVC, have larger screen (with smaller screen on the outside to prevent cricket escape) so that he can crawl around on the sides if he wants, and to have an easy and functioning drainage system.
Originally we had the idea to use the bottom of one of those step in showers as the base, but that is obviously a really expensive solution. Does anyone have an idea of how to make something similar as the base? I want to stick with plastic/PVC if possible since it is easier to clean and dries faster in the humidity. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Hollie
