Drainage for 18 x 18 x 36 inch Aluminum Screen Cage

I think I am going to buy this cage

I want to make it drain into a tub or bucket. Is this easy to do? anybody done this before?

Why do you want to drain it? It has like a PVC Bottom, so it won't like get ruined from wetness.

I don't know about you, but when I water, it goes everywhere. If you are watering properly, you are putting lots of water through the cage daily and it has to collect somewhere.

Actually, it doesn't I have a rag under the cage, and it soaks some of it up. But, I don't have a drainage system.

With that, he need to mist more often and longer compared to veiled and panther.
Yes, I used that cage for my juvie panthers.
Very easy to do!
drill couple of holes at the center of the pvc bottom.
Put the cage on one of those metal rack. and put the reservoir under the cage.

I did something totally different and was able to use a counter that is in my house. I could show you how if you want....it is a bit more involved but it works well for me.

hey, Ryan Jarosek used the plastic stand with holes on the table.
He got it from Wal Mart, I guess.
I think it's more affordable than the metal rack.

I posted my last post for the OP. It was not a response to you. By the way, if you have an IKEA nearby, they will surely have a piece of furniture you can mod. The $12 LACK tables are fun and a good size. You could easily drill a hole in them. I know Home Depot has the wire rack shelving like Frans has. You can also pick them up cheaply on your local Craigslist.

Thanks dodolah! I'm really looking forward to getting him a new setup. right now he is acting kindof funny and I know things will improve when I get him a fully screened cage and a new ficus. And a misting system soon. I thing he is really stressed out by anything I do in the cage.

On a side note, is it normal for him to turn 100% black when basking? I get worried when I see this and unfortunately there is not too much rudis info out there.
