hey all i had a normal 60 watt bulb in my dome lamp and it dont seem to reach to the bottom of the plant i got and it seems to be dieing on me so am trying a mini 50watt flood light in it is this a good idea to use or no and it seems to get the light more down to the bottom of the plant and i have been doing temp readings with my temp gun and i have a 88 to 90 basking spot for cham and middle of cage is around 80 and bottom is around 72 is this good temps and at night the cage is around 68 thanks and i just want to get everything good befor i get my veild

how old is your Veild? Your temps in general are ok. 68 at night is fine. You don't need a heat lamp. Your basking would be high if you have a young cham. An adult could bask at that. Babys and juvies should bask in the low 80's so that flood light is probably heating up your cage too much. If you want to grow your plants better I have seen people on here use a 6500K grow light that can be bought at home depot. I don't think I would use a flood light in the cage. Get the plant light, and put the 60 watt back in the dome for basking.
