Does anybody know what this dark spot is?

So I was chacking on jasper my 1.5 yr old sambava panther and around his tail? In the first pic you can see it and in the second pic is him from the other side. PS theres shed around his eyes

Maybe it’s just the coloration as you mentioned he just shed. Has his tail been hit by the door or anything recently?

No and believe it or not the spot just dissapeared?‍
