Do You Water Plants?

If you are running a dripper and doing mistings, is it necessary to water your plants still? My soil gets pretty moist from the dripper running for a few hours, and my plant seems really healthy, so I am not sure if I should be watering the plant as well or just leave it be.

Sorry I didn't add enough info. I have only had my plant/chameleon for about 2 weeks. I was seeing what others do.
