Do chams dream?

SO I was doing my nightly check of creatures in my house, when I saw Kink twitching in his sleep. I was two feet away, there were no lights near his cage, and I saw him bobbing his head a bit and sorta.. twitching, or swaying side to side. it stopped after a minute, but just curious if anyone else's chams sometimes twitch in their sleep?

My cham even "attacked" me once when i forgot to bring him inside and it was to cold at night to leave him out. So i tried to wake him up, but instead he started to hiss a lot, played the big guy and even tried to bite me while his eyes were both perfectly shut and he was definitely sleeping. When he woke up he looked pretty shocked :D

My guy didnt hiss, didnt gape. He simply started bobbing and swaying, I wasnt even near him, and his eyes never opened. At first I thought a breeze had moved the branch he was on cuz I have fans going (no AC and its 85 deg at 11 pm) But then i realized he was actualy making himself move.
Very very strange

Clair moves her eyes a bit in her sleep and moves a tad her and their. i wonder what their dreaming about ^^ probally climbing a really tall tree full of yummy bugs on a perfect day, not too hot or toooo cold !

Haha! must be! Prob dreaming about his day outside yesterday. Im sure hes mad I didnt take him out today it was way to hot for him. His eyes didnt move, didnt open. This wasnt like a tad move, it was head dipping and waving side to side with his whole body. IF he was awake Id say he was showing aggression, but when hes asleep?

OH fyi, never wear green nail polish near you chams! it pisses them off!

HAHA! one time my sises pet turtle tried to eat my finger becuz i had green on. Thpse turtles bite hard 2! yeah they get mad easy. one time i walked in the room while she was sleeping. it was misting time and she got sooo mad and puffed up hissing. dont wake up those chams from their good dreams :p!

And...
"Some REM characteristics have been found in reptiles, including chameleons, desert iguanas and caimans. But the experiments all had problems that have left the question open. Were they in REM or just awake? Does slower heart rate count as atonia? More studies are needed to determine if REM is active in reptiles."...

I've seen my male do this a few times, I don't know the science but he is dreaming. Definitely totally normal, anyway :)

My veiled female "Dragon" doesn't bob and sway but she does change colors .. which really cool to watch

Mine changes to his angry colors sometimes when hes sleeping. Normally hes green muted green and has recently developed teal dots, but when he getes angry he gets broken bars of black. sometimes he puts them on when hes asleep. probably angry a cricket got away
