Do chams actually get brighter when they shed

Particularly with young chameleons, yes, they tend to get better and better with each shed as they mature into their adult coloration. Even my adult panther male will look "shiny and clean," as it were, after a shed.

I find that this is true-- surprisingly even with my 2 year old Ambilobe Thor-- he shed a few days ago and I swear he's brighter still. I might just be dreaming though :)

They most definitely do! Especially as adults when they do partial sheds. The portion that was recently shedded looks more vibrant than the un-shedded portions.

Most definately, my 7 month old Mitsio, comet, looks awesome now he just had a good shed. As said, even adults look good once they shed. They get a nice silky smooth look to them, and sometimes look brighter.
