Disinfecting Leaves

Hey guys so I'm just about done creating my Pygmy Chameleon Vivarium and the last i need is leaf litter. I just went outside and gathered up a bunch of maple tree leaves. After some searching I couldn't find more than I few leaves I trusted so I went to a live branch and started plucking away. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of green maple leaves. My question is, does anyone know how to disinfect leaf litter? And if anyone knows how to dry leaves out quicker. Thanks

I just use them as they are

I wash mine with a mild soap and hot water. To dry I woduldjust put them on top of the oven when you use it if you can, or sit in a sunny window during the day.
