hello i know this isnt about chameleons but what kind of animal has nearly the same requirements as a chameleon and can be kept in the same kind of cage?

What type of cage is it? Not everyone keeps a chameleon in the same sort of thing. what size is the cage? what type of chameleon conditions for that matter (not all chameleons need the same type of environment/temps etc)
What I use for chameleons would be unsuitable for most anything else.
Those mostly glass enclosures with screen on top and the plastic vent along the bottom of the front doors and/or at the back are good for some kinds of geckos, frogs, mantids, leaf insects, hermit crabs....
Those all mesh / screen cages that seem popular in the USA could be used for some kinds of gecko, mantid, leaf insects, ....
